Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to go, while therapy often explores the past and emotional healing. At SteadyRise, coaching is action-oriented and forward-focused. We don’t diagnose or treat mental health conditions — instead, we help you set meaningful goals, build confidence, and follow through with purpose.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Coaching is ideal if you’re high-functioning but feeling stuck, unfulfilled, or in transition. You don’t need to be in crisis — you just need a desire to grow, take intentional action, and live more in alignment with your values. If you want clarity, structure, and accountability, coaching can help.
What if I’m not ready to commit to a full 8-week program?
No problem! You can book a 60-minute single session to get started. It’s a great way to explore coaching without a long-term commitment. And if you decide to enroll in a package later, we can build from that first session.
Can I work with either coach? How do I choose?
Yes! You’re welcome to work with either Latasha or Hayley. You can learn a little about each of us on our About page, or visit the Book a Discovery Call page to choose who feels like the right fit. If you're unsure, either one of us can help you get started — we're both here to support your growth.
Do I need any special setup for our virtual sessions?
All you need is a reliable internet connection and a quiet space. We meet through a secure Google Meet link, so you can join from home, work, or wherever you feel comfortable.
What if I miss a session or need to reschedule?
We get it — life happens. We just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule your session. Missed sessions without notice may be forfeited, especially with the 8-week or monthly programs, so we can honor both your time and ours.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes. Even though coaching isn’t covered under HIPAA like therapy, we still honor your privacy with the same level of care and professionalism. Your story stays with us.
Can I use HSA/FSA funds to pay for coaching?
In some cases, yes — but it depends on your provider. Coaching is not medical care, so it’s not always covered. We recommend calling your HSA/FSA administrator to ask if they allow payment for personal development or life coaching services.
